Bon à savoir sur Hamburg

• Hochbahn indique qu'il n'y a toujours pas de réseau LTE convenable dans ses tunnels de U-Bahn, raison pour laquelle ses rames n'ont pas de wifi à bord même si les stations sont raccordées à la fibre.
• Le S1 se sépare à Ohlsdorf. Seules les trois voitures de tête continuent vers l'aéroport, la partie arrière va à Poppenbuttel.
• La gare S-Bahn de l'aéroport est souterraine, accessible directement depuis les Terminaux 1 et 2 par ascenseur ou escalator, et n'a ouvert que le 11 décembre 2008.
• Hamburg Airport a ouvert en janvier 1911 et est le plus ancien aéroport international du monde encore en exploitation. Il a été rebaptisé du nom d'Helmut Schmidt en novembre 2016.
• Le S1 circule toutes les 10 minutes entre environ 6h du matin et 11h du soir et met 25 minutes dans chaque sens jusqu'au Hauptbahnhof.

• HADAG ferry line 62 belongs to the hvv network and leaves Landungsbruecken pier 3 for Finkenwerder about every 15 minutes between 06:45 and 22:15 on weekdays, calling at the Fischmarkt, Dockland and Neumuehlen/Oevelgoenne on the way.
• Buying single and day tickets in the hvv switch app earns a 7 percent discount, which also applies to upgrades. Season tickets and tourist offers get no online discount.
• Airport buses stop in front of Terminal 1 on the arrivals level. Night bus 606 links the airport with the Hauptbahnhof and the Rathausmarkt, and taxis wait outside both terminals, taking cash or cards.
• Hamburg's culture and tourism tax is a fixed amount per guest and night, set by the net room price. For bookings from 2025 it is 1.20 euros up to 50 euros, 2.40 euros up to 100 and 4.80 euros up to 200.
• The tax falls on the hotel, which may pass it on to the guest but does not have to. It covers stays shorter than two months, and business trips have been taxed since 1 January 2023.
